 Job Title    :        Human Resource and Administrative Officer

 Reports to :        Human Resource Manager

  Job Purpose:

 Responsible for supporting the effective and efficient management of the organization’s human resources and administrative functions

 This role ensures compliance with HR policies, provides support in recruitment, employee relations, performance management,

 training and handles day-to-day administrative duties to ensure smooth office operations.


 Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support in the recruitment and selection process including job postings, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Conduct reference checks and background screenings for potential hires.
  • Maintain and update employee records, personal files, and HR databases and ensure that confidentiality of information is protected at all times.
  • Coordinate employee orientation and induction programs.
  • Support in the implementation of performance appraisal systems.
  • Monitor compliance with labor laws and internal policies and report any breaches to management in a timely manner.
  • Monitor employee attendance, leave records, dress codes and handle related queries.
  • Assist in resolving employee relations issues and disciplinary matters.
  • Prepare HR-related reports as required (headcount, turnover, training logs, etc.).
  • Coordinate staff training and development programs.
  • Initiate and coordinate programmes to promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement.:
  • Manage office supplies and inventory; ensure timely procurement and restocking.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of company assets and ensure proper usage.
  • Organize and support internal meetings, events, and documentation.
  • Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations to ensure a safe and conducive working environment and log any breaches thereto
  • Handle general correspondence and manage office filing systems.
  •  Any other duties as maybe assigned from time to time.


 Person Specification:


  A. Qualification

  Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in the disciplines of Human Resource, Business Administration, Organisational Psychology, Social Sciences or

  any other related field from a reputable University.

  Post graduate diploma in any of the above fields is an added advantage.

 B. Work Experience

 Minimum 2years’ experience in a similar HR/Admin role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.

 C. Competencies and skills.

  • •Knowledge of hospitality labor laws, HR practices, and industry compliance standards.
  • •Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • •Proficient in MS Office Suite; experience with hotel HR systems or time attendance software is an advantage
  • •High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
  • •Ability to work flexible hours when needed (including weekends or holidays during peak periods).

     According to the Org Structure approved on 18th March 2021, the Officer supervises the Administrative Assistant and Records Assistant. However, these roles could still be       vacant. May be consider deleting the “Supervises” line.
